Privacy Policy

ARuler Pro · Last updated: May 17, 2026

ARuler Pro ("the App", "we", "our") is an offline-first AR measurement utility for iPhone. We respect your privacy. This document explains, plainly and honestly, what data the App handles and what it does not handle.

TL;DR: ARuler Pro collects no personal data, sends nothing to any server, and works entirely on your device. We have no account system, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or sell any of the following:

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your iPhone only, using Apple's SwiftData framework. None of it leaves the device.

3. Camera Access

The App requests camera permission (NSCameraUsageDescription) for one purpose only: to render the AR view used for measurement. The camera feed is processed in real time on the device by Apple's ARKit / SceneKit frameworks. The App does not record, store, or transmit the camera stream.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The only frameworks used are Apple's own first-party APIs (ARKit, SceneKit, SwiftUI, SwiftData, simd).

5. Data Security

Because all data is kept locally and never transmitted, your measurements are protected by iOS's standard sandboxing and disk encryption. We have no servers and no databases.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete individual measurement records inside the App. Deleting the App from your device removes all of its locally stored data immediately and irreversibly. There is nothing for us to delete on a server because we do not have one.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is safe for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, because we do not collect data from anyone.

8. Export Compliance

ARuler Pro does not use non-exempt encryption (ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption = false).

9. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated in a future version of the App, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be highlighted in the App's release notes.
