Our core principle: ChordBank is a 100% offline application. We do not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal data whatsoever.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

ChordBank stores the following data locally on your device only using iOS UserDefaults:

Practice Progress: Your chord learning status (Not Started, Learning, Practiced, Mastered)
Practice Sessions: Records of your practice sessions with duration timestamps
Favorites: Chords you've marked as favorites
App Settings: Your preferences (audio enabled, left-handed mode, finger display, strum speed)

This data never leaves your device and is automatically deleted when you delete the app.

4. Third-Party Services

ChordBank does NOT use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud services. The app operates entirely offline with no network connectivity required.

5. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults, your data benefits from iOS's built-in security features:

Data is stored in the app's sandboxed container
Protected by iOS app sandboxing
Encrypted when device encryption is enabled
Accessible only by the ChordBank app

6. Data Deletion

All data is automatically deleted when you delete the app. Since we store no data on external servers, simply removing ChordBank from your device permanently removes all associated data.

If you wish to clear your practice data without deleting the app, you can use the "Clear All Practice Data" option in the app's Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

ChordBank does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since our app does not collect any personal data whatsoever, this policy applies equally to users of all ages.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
