1. Introduction
ConfessParty ("the App", "we", "us") is a local, single-device party game. We deeply respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the App handles and what it does not.
Bottom line: ConfessParty does not require an account, does not connect to any server, and does not collect, track or transmit any personal information.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
ConfessParty does not collect, store, or share any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone, address)
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising IDs)
- Location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
- Usage analytics, crash logs, or behavioral telemetry
- Any data sent to remote servers — the App does not make network requests
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData / UserDefaults frameworks. It never leaves your device:
- Built-in question library — categories and questions seeded on first launch
- Custom categories & questions — anything you add inside the app
- App preferences — language override, last-used round count, seed version flag
Player names and scores entered for a single game session are kept in memory only and are discarded when the game ends or the app is closed.
4. Permissions
ConfessParty requests no system permissions. The App does not access:
- Camera or microphone
- Photo library
- Contacts or calendar
- Location services
- Notifications
- Bluetooth or local network
5. Third-Party Services
ConfessParty does not integrate with any third-party SDK or analytics service. There are no embedded ads, no tracking pixels, and no external authentication providers.
6. Data Security
Because all data is stored locally and never transmitted, your information is protected by the security model of iOS itself, including device-level encryption when your device is locked with a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID.
7. Data Deletion
You can delete all ConfessParty data at any time:
- Inside the App: open Settings → Reset Built-in Library to restore default content; delete custom categories or questions individually from the Library tab.
- System-wide: uninstall the App from your device. iOS will permanently remove all local data associated with ConfessParty.
8. Children's Privacy
ConfessParty is rated 17+ for suggestive themes. The App does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, this policy applies to all users uniformly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if the App's behavior changes (for example, if a future version introduces a new feature that handles data). When that happens, the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated, and a brief summary of changes will be included in the App's release notes on the App Store.
