NoiseGuard ("the App", "we", "us") is a sound level meter and noise logger designed for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains how NoiseGuard handles information when you use the App. We have built NoiseGuard with privacy as a first-class principle: the App does not require an account, does not connect to our servers, and does not transmit your data anywhere.

The following data is created and stored locally on your iPhone, accessible only by NoiseGuard:
UserDefaults for the History feature..m4a files inside the App's private Documents directory when you tap the record button. They are never uploaded.This data is fully under your control and is deleted when you delete the App.

You may revoke any permission at any time in Settings → NoiseGuard. Revoking microphone access disables measurement; revoking location simply omits location stamps from new records.
NoiseGuard does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or attribution SDKs. The App is fully offline-first and contains no network calls to external endpoints.
Because NoiseGuard does not transmit your data, there is no server-side risk surface. On-device data is protected by standard iOS sandboxing and the device's hardware-backed encryption when your device is locked with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
To delete all NoiseGuard data:
NoiseGuard is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App functions identically for all users and contains no in-app purchases, ads, or external links to user-generated content.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or in legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be communicated through App Store release notes.
