Note Cards - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Note Cards ("the App") handles your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect and how it is used.

The App is developed by an independent developer and is designed to operate entirely offline on your device. This policy applies to all users of the App on iOS platforms.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We believe your data belongs to you. The App is designed with a privacy-first approach:

All data created and used by the App is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This includes:

Flashcard Decks: The decks you create, including their names and associated icons.
Flashcard Content: The front and back text of each card you create.
Study Statistics: Your correct and incorrect attempt counts per card, used to calculate accuracy rates.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. If you delete the App, all of this data is permanently removed from your device.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud storage providers. The App operates entirely offline with zero external network dependencies.

No third-party SDKs, tracking frameworks, or data-sharing mechanisms are included in the App.

5. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device, it benefits from iOS's built-in security features, including:

Device Encryption: iOS devices encrypt user data by default.
App Sandbox: Each iOS app runs in an isolated sandbox, preventing other apps from accessing its data.
No Network Transmission: Since the App never sends data over a network, there is no risk of data interception during transmission.

6. Data Deletion

All data associated with the App is stored locally on your device. To delete all of your data, simply delete the App from your device. This will permanently remove all flashcard decks, card content, and study statistics.

There is no cloud account, server-side data, or remote backup to manage. Deleting the App is the only step required to delete all of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect any personal information from any users, including children, there is no need for parental consent or age verification.

The App is suitable for users of all ages and can be used as an educational tool by students and learners of any age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.

Continued use of the App after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
