1. Introduction
Welcome to QR Art Master ("the App"), developed by Wang Bin ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding your information.
TL;DR QR Art Master is a fully offline app. We collect zero personal data. All your QR designs are stored exclusively on your device.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
QR Art Master does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, Apple ID)
- Location data
- Device analytics or usage statistics
- Photos, camera, or microphone data
- Payment or financial information
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Crash logs or diagnostic data sent to our servers
The App does not require an account, login, or any form of registration.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device only using Apple's
UserDefaults API. It never leaves your device:
- QR Design Gallery — Your saved QR code configurations (content, style, colors, logo data), up to 50 designs, serialized as JSON.
- App Preferences — Language setting (en / zh-Hans / system) and theme mode (light / dark / system).
- Last-used Design Parameters — QR content text, selected art style, color mode, gradient colors, error correction level, and logo preferences.
- Custom Logo Image — If you embed a custom image as your QR logo, the image data is stored locally in UserDefaults.
All of the above is automatically and permanently deleted when you uninstall the App.
4. Photo Library Access
QR Art Master may request access to your Photo Library only if you choose to import a custom image as a QR code logo. This access is strictly optional. The selected image is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
You can revoke photo access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. The App will continue to function normally using text-based logo mode.
5. Third-Party Services
QR Art Master does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services,
advertising networks, or social login providers. The QR code generation is powered entirely by
Apple's native CoreImage framework (CIQRCodeGenerator) — no external
library or network request is involved.
6. Network Usage
QR Art Master is a fully offline application. It makes no network requests of any kind. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party, at any time.
7. Data Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device, it benefits from iOS's built-in security features, including device encryption and the iOS sandbox. We have no access to your data and therefore cannot be responsible for unauthorized access originating from your device's compromise.
8. Data Deletion
To permanently delete all data associated with QR Art Master:
- Delete the App from your device (long-press icon → Remove App → Delete App).
- iOS will automatically remove all UserDefaults data and sandboxed files upon deletion.
No additional steps are required. There is no account to deactivate.
9. Children's Privacy
QR Art Master is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 (or applicable local equivalent). Since the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it is inherently safe for children to use.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
