RhythmTap Privacy Policy

RhythmTap ("we", "our", or "the App") is a rhythm game for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we handle and how.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

RhythmTap does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:

Names, email addresses, or contact information
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or crash reports
Financial or payment information

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

Game scores — your personal best records (UserDefaults)
Settings — volume, haptic preference, language choice (UserDefaults)
Imported audio files — music you choose to import for gameplay (Documents directory)
Generated beatmaps — note patterns created from your imported music (Documents directory)

All data remains exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to any server.

4. Third-Party Services

RhythmTap does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising frameworks, or cloud services. The App operates 100% offline.

5. Permissions

You may deny these permissions; the App will still function with built-in tracks.

6. Data Security

Since all data stays on your device and no network communication occurs, your information is protected by your device's built-in security measures (passcode, Face ID, encryption at rest).

7. Data Deletion

To delete all App data, simply uninstall RhythmTap from your device. All scores, settings, imported audio, and generated beatmaps will be permanently removed.

8. Children's Privacy

RhythmTap does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. The App is safe for users of all ages.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
